This is worth a look folks.
$150.00 US (or Canadian Tire money) and $100.00 per year this is
cheaper than an eperb and is tough, water proof and simple.
I was looking at Sat Phones $900 - $1,600 plus $40.00 per month. They
are fragile, don't like water, bounce badly and if the provider goes
down (as has happened) you have an orphan. (Useless, expensive
technology)
It seams less sinister than an EPERB but does much the same thing.
I will be giving this a look see!

refer to it as the "Find Me Spot". It retails for $169.95 for the
unit, plus the $100 annual subscription.
