Forecasted 2 cm of snow this afternoon shouldn't deter one from
catching Dr. Jack Lawson's presentation on whales and seals tonight at
The Guv'nor's in St. John's.

February 6, 2008: Whales and other sea creatures
7:30 PM Guv'nor Pub on Elizabeth Ave
Join Dr. Jack Lawson and KNL for a presentation on whales and other
marine mammals in the coastal waters of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Whales are a big attraction to many kayakers each year, but are they
safe to paddle among, and does kayaking disturb them? Dr. Lawson, who
is a research scientist at DFO, is happy to discuss these issues with
members of the kayaking community.

I'd like to thank Peter for organizing a very interesting talk on
whales. The presentation by Dr. Lawson was truely superb.
