The slip way we normally use to launch from is blocked with snow.
We may have to improvise some way to launch for anyone turning up. Its
a great place to seal launch ww boats.

Original post reads

January first is hurtling toward us once more.
I will be starting my new year (Weather Permitting) with a short
paddle around Quidi Vidi harbour (The Gut) I intend to be there 1:30
PM Jan 1 for a 2:00 PM Launch. I will be off the water by 3 unless
the
weather is spectacular.
This is something Jim Price started a very long time ago; Just before
he discovered Mexico. It is always fun, all are welcome.
We will be launching at the slip next to the old Flake House
restaurant, its now called the Stage Head I believe.
Thermal protection is highly recommended as water temperatures are
almost always sub zero.
This is not a club event, you are responsible for your own safety.
